The National Fraud Authority becomes a Corporate Supporter of AABC
Following work which AABC has carried out with the National Fraud Authority, they have decided to become Corporate Supporters to help them to reach more small businesses and support their objective or reducing fraud.
The NFA has been established by the government to provide more effective and co-ordinated national intelligence gathering and analysis of fraud. The NFA works with police, public and private sector and voluntary organisations in the UK and with agencies overseas to reduce the effect of this crime and to ensure that patterns of fraud are identified and action taken to disrupt and prosecute offenders.
One of their key objectives is to support SME businesses, many of whom may be more vulnerable to fraud attacks and less able to prevent it happening. This is particularly important to BCRPs, who can provide an additional service to their SME members on where to obtain advice on fraud prevention and where to report fraud. We will be working with the NFA to house their SME fraud leaflets electronically on the AABC website and to ensure partnerships have access to printed fraud prevention cards to distribute to their members.
To view the NFA website and their Action Fraud facility for reporting fraud online, go to the NFA entry on the Corporate Supporters page.
