AABC National Conference – a date for your diary


The AABC National Conference has been confirmed and will take place on Thursday, 29th April, 2010 at the Radisson Blu hotel at Manchester Airport. The venue is 5 minutes drive from Junction 5 of the M56, 18 minutes by train from Manchester Piccadilly, or a ¾-minute walk from the airport station.

Ticket prices are £120 for AABC members (total price) and £170 for non-AABC members and others (total price). There will be an early-booking discount of 10% for each place booked, and a 15% discount for bookings of three or more delegate places, received before 28th February 2010 (only one discount may be used).

We have a full conference programme with speakers from ACPO (business crime), business crime partnerships, Home Office, National Counter-Terrorism Security Office, National Fraud Authority, Information Commissioner, a major retailer and the Partnership Excellence Awards – your opportunity for your partnership to showcase its work during the year.

MARSHALS ARE A SUCCESSFUL INITIATIVE FOR BATH CITY CENTRE

Guidance and advice on databases and handling of personal and sensitive data

With the emergence of new databases with the ability to disseminate personal and sensitive data, AABC has sought advice and guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office to ensure that BCRPs are able to make reasoned and informed decisions concerning the purchase, operation and management of databases, including access by third party users.
