Rhondda. Cynon, Taff Business Crime Reduction Partnership is the second partnership in Wales to achieve re-accreditation of their Safer Business Award after a reassessment audit by Action Against Business Crime.
The award is recognition of the ongoing commitment to reducing crime and disorder in town centres in RCT through partnership working with retailers, landlords and South Wales Police. Councillor Paul Cannon, cabinet member for economic development & housing said: “By sharing information about criminals and suspects through an information sharing agreement, the members can effectively maintain a safer experience for customers and staff.”
Dave Suszek, regional manager for AABC, said: ""Action Against Business Crime are pleased to award the Safer Business Award to the Cynon Valley BCRP for the second time in three years. The partnership expansion into the towns across Rhondda, Cynon and Taff is a welcome addition to the fight against business crime and this growth is acknowledged as good practice across Wales.
